Dylan T. MacGregor has been working side-by-side with his Uncle Malcolm for nearly two decades and has been instrumental in building McDonald & MacGregor, LLC into one of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s premier voices for victims of personal injury. Whether fighting for clients at trial, negotiating settlements at mediation, or prevailing in an arbitrated claim, Dylan provides critical litigation support to our attorneys from start to finish. In his role as a paralegal, Dylan communicates with clients, insurance adjusters, paralegals, lien holders, attorneys, and experts to ensure we have the latest information, documentation and evidence to build the strongest cases and maximize recoveries.
Dylan is well versed in legal research, drafting pleadings, drafting and managing complex discovery, and resolving complex medical liens, including Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, HMO, and Workers’ Compensation liens. He also has advanced investigative skills, conducting in-depth background investigations into individuals, businesses, and corporations that often uncover significant information impacting the outcome of each case. As the law and technology continue to evolve, Dylan is constantly staying up to date with the latest information through continuing legal education programs lectured by some of the biggest names in our industry. His thirst for knowledge and hunger to constantly improve make him an invaluable asset to our firm.
Over nearly two decades, Dylan has developed a diverse and practical skill set that supports not just the legal work, but the firm’s broader operations as well. Beyond his paralegal duties, he plays a major role in helping run the firm. He played a pivotal role in founding McDonald & MacGregor, LLC in 2011 and, since then, has worked alongside the firm’s partners to support its successful establishment and ongoing operations.
His understanding of firm operations is grounded in years of hands-on experience, having served in roles such as file clerk, deposition videographer, intake paralegal, legal assistant, and paralegal. This progression has given him a strong foundation in every layer of firm workflow and client service. His contributions now span a wide range of responsibilities, including managing vendor relationships, overseeing technology upgrades, streamlining internal workflows, and handling key logistical and financial matters.
These efforts allow the attorneys to focus more fully on practicing law while enhancing the firm’s efficiency, organization, and client service. Dylan is also a trusted source of strategic input, routinely advising on operational improvements, growth opportunities, and best practices. His steady involvement in decision-making and firm planning has helped shape the firm’s long-term success. His ability to balance complex legal work with operational support has made him a trusted and steady presence within the firm, and someone his colleagues can always count on.
A dedicated professional, Dylan is committed to continuing education and is a longstanding Paralegal Affiliate of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PAJ), where he served as Co-Chair of the organization’s Paralegal Committee in its first year. He is also a Paralegal Affiliate with the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and the American Bar Association (ABA), and he actively supports the Northeast Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association (NEPTLA), regularly participating in its events. Dylan is also a Notary Public in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a member of the National Notary Association (NNA).
Active in his community, Dylan currently serves on the board of the Abington Area Joint Recreation Board (AAJRB). He has supported and contributed to numerous organizations and non-profits in pursuit of their mission, including the Women’s Resource Center of NEPA (where he was a past member of their Association Board), the Children’s Advocacy Center of NEPA, Friends of the Poor, and the Countryside Conservancy.
He has also volunteered with the Lackawanna County Bar Association as a juror in their annual Mock Trial competitions and has provided Notary services to area first responders through the Wills for Heroes Foundation, a program that offers essential legal documents such as wills, living wills, and powers of attorney free of charge to those who serve and protect our communities.
Following his graduation from Dunmore High School, Dylan attended Lackawanna College, where he studied Criminal Justice and Communications. He is an avid sportsman and outdoorsman who enjoys a wide range of activities including hunting, fishing, shooting, hiking, camping, river sports, four-wheeling, golf, and billiards. Beyond his professional pursuits, Dylan’s heart is in Waverly, PA, where he resides with his wife, Stacy, and their two daughters, Maryn and Molly, who are his greatest source of joy and inspiration.
